I sat around all day waiting for my race which made me pretty upset. Sadly I was the only Ogden runner in the 800. I warmed up by myself for my last high school track race. As I finished warming up I reported to the bullpen. While in there I had realized that I forgot to take my inhaler. Luckily Alydia showed up and I asked her to go get it and she sprinted to get it. I took 2 quick puffs and when out to the field with the guys. I was in the "slower" heat of the two but it wasn't slow at all haha. The race started and we were off pretty quick. I came through at 28 for the first 200 and then 59 I think for the 400. At this point my head wasn't really in the race that much but I still tried to go with the lead pack. I finished 4th in the heat and 10th overal running a pr of 1:57. Im happy for the pr but unsatisfied with the fact that my mind wasn't in it. I took off for a quick cooled down talking to several other people along the way like Conner. I felt really good on my cool down and was running about sub 6 minute pace for 4 miles. Im going to take my much needed off season now just to get my legs fully recoverd. I plan to get some good mileage in this summer and run in college. Im not completely sure where yet but I'll know probably within the 2 weeks of my break. See ya all in 2 weeks!
