First run of the day, Mike and I just ran an easy 5 miles in about 36 minutes after 2nd period (I love having free periods haha). My stomach is still messed up from all the cheese from the pizza challenge me and him did on Saturday and my legs felt pretty tired today. After our run, we stretched and went home. I did my usual core workout which hurt extremely bad today.

For the second run, Mike and I did the warm up with the guys because they did a workout today (we both have to do it tomorrow on the indoor track, by ourselves.... kill me). After doing 15 minutes with them we had to sit around and wait to talk to Alydia so while we were waiting we just got our plyos and Six strides out of the way. After talking to her, we went to finish our run while the rest of the guys worked out. We ran another 45 minutes to make it an hour total. It was an easy, even pace the whole run. My stomach was still not feeling to good from the pizza but I think I'll be good to go tomorrow. Since I don't have a 4th period, I'll probably do the workout on my own. It would be that ways anyways because Mike is doing a workout for the 2mile but I'm doing one for the Mile. We'll see what happens.

Today was a really good workout day, even though I didn't really feel the best. I did my workout with Mike after school at the indoor track because Alydia changed my workout from a miler workout to a 2miler workout which kind of made me mad but oh well. The workout was 1200, 600, 400, 800, 2 sets with 2 minutes rest, 90 seconds, 90,seconds, and 4 minutes in between sets. I warmed up with Mike and Garret, streched, did plyos and strides, and started. On the first 1200, Alydia told me to only do a 1000 right behind Mike just to get a feel for the pace. The first interval already sucked pretty bad but I still hit 2:56. On the 600, Mike and I just felt like we didn't have any speed today and it showed because we only ran a 1:41. After the 600, Mike was complaining of feeling just completely terrible. We ran the 400 next in 65. After it was time for the 800, and we just felt like complete garbage and finished it in 2:22. By this time Mike said he was done. I couldn't let him be done though. I told him I would lead the next set for him. I couldn't let him just give up. Mike agreed to continue the workout if we switched off leading every lap (so every 200 meters). We started the next 1200 and followed our plan. Again, Alydia told me to run only a 1000 but I couldn't leave Mike hanging. I stuck it out and made sure he went with me and we ran a 3:33 for our 1200. After this we knew we would be fine just following our plan to switch off every lap. We started the 600 and ran a 1:41; we still didn't feel good about our speed today but we couldn't really push much faster for some reason. Our next 400 was at 66 which Mike had decided to lead the whole thing. And after that, we did our 800 which Mike again decided to lead the 1st, 3rd and 4th lap but we still ran a 2:20. For feeling as crappy as we did today, we still ran a decent workout. We cooled down at a pretty fast pace for another 15 minutes and stretched.  I still wish I could start to feel better for workouts and even normal runs but I guess that'll just have to come when we taper for races.

Wow, I just realized how terrible I am and keeping this updated everyday. On this day, I did my normal core workout and then ran with Mike. We ran from the school to the end of the pipe road and back which is a little over 7.5 miles. When we got back, we stretched, did our normal plyos and finished with 6 strides. I was super tired from the workout the day before and I had gotten a pretty good massage which just made things worse.

This day again was another easy recovery day. The rest of the guys were doing a workout, so Mike and I warmed up with them 2 miles. Alydia needed to talk to us, so after the warm up, Mike and I just did our plyos and 6 strides out of the way. When she was done talking to us, we left the guys to do their workout. We did the same run as monday but just a little faster. total it was like 58 minutes. I still felt pretty crappy.

Not going to lie but today sucked really bad. Since it was just Mike and I doing a workout, we headed up to the indoor track after 2nd period. Warmed up the usual 15 minutes, streched, etc. Todays workout was 600, 90 seconds rest, 200, 2 minutes rest, 6 sets. We started right into it and I was already dying. I felt like we going 200 pace already on the first 600, but we only came through at 34; we still picked up the pace though and finished the 600 in 1:39. The next few intervals of my workout went like this: 200 (30), 600 (1:39), 200 (30), 600 (1:41), 200 (30), 600 (1:43), 200 (30). After that 4th 600 I was about ready to call it quits. However Alydia told us the day before that if the rest after the 200 wasn't long enough, then add another 30 seconds. So thats what we did. For the 5th set I ran 1:41 and 30. I should've just stopped here but I at least had to try to do the next one. I decided just to run a 400 on the next one while Mike still ran 600. He had asked me to lead the second lap (my last lap) so that's what I did and I hit 65. I still gave myself another 90 seconds and did my last 200 in 29. But I didnt feel right about doing 200 meters less than Mike so after my last 200, I gave myself 45 seconds rest and did one more 200 at 30. Mike and I then cooled down 15 minutes and stretched. I felt like garbage about today's workout but Alydia says since we're going to start tapering this next week, I should be good to race on Friday and Saturday. I sure hope she's right.

Today was just and easy run. I ran in the morning with Alek, Dylan, Garret, and Travis. We started from Weber State and ran to the end of pipe and back. Then we ran to the out to the Dee Events center and back just to make it 8 miles. It took us 60 minutes because we were told run easy recovery pace. I felt alright but really tired
